Shangri-la Vocational Centre (SVTC) is a project of Shangri-la Orphanage Home (SOH) which has been working in the field of vocational trainings and technical education for school level students since 2003 A.D. The objective of the Project is providing skill-oriented Pre- vocational trainings of different faculties or sector to the school level students of Shangri-la international school (SIS).
SVTC have been established with the sole purpose of providing skill-oriented trainings inside SIS curriculum like Agriculture, Home- Economics, Carpentry, Building electrician and Computer hardware and maintenance.
All the lesson and curriculum is designed to enhance skills of children and provide them the perspective of what vocational and technical education is in reality and how they can enhance their knowledge and skills in real life.
In 2003, SVTC started with the courses carpentry and pottery. In 2006, the courses home economics and agriculture were added. In 2016, the pottery course was discontinued and replaced with a building electrician course. In 2006 A.D SVTC started Agriculture and Home economics sector and students for the students of class Seven. Students can choose between Agriculture and home-economics (tailoring)

CTEVT LEVEL-1 COMPUTER HARDWARE AND NETWORKING TECHNICIAN
Apart from these pre-vocational courses a compact course in computer hardware and networking was set up in 2013. This course is a different course than other pre-vocational course as the Compact course of computer Hardware and Networking is a level -1, Junior computer technician course which is designed for a 90 days course with credit hour of 360 Hours. This course is designed for the youths so to be able to attend skills test exam of NSTB (national skill testing board)

साँग्रिला व्यवसायिक तालिम केन्द्र सन् २००३ मा स्थापना भएको हो, जसले मुख्य रुपमा चार विधाका व्यवसायिक तालिम ( बेसिक बिल्डिङ ईलेक्ट्रिसिएन तालिम, काठको सामानहरु बनाउने तालिम, सिलाई कटाई तालिम तथा कृषि सम्बन्धी तालिम) सञ्चालन गर्दै आएको छ । गत बर्षको पहिलो प्याकेजबाट माटोको भाडाँहरु बनाउने तालिमको सट्टामा बिल्डिङ इलिक्ट्रिसियन तालिम सञ्चालन गर्दैे आएको छ । यस तालिम कार्यक्रममा साँग्रीला ईन्टरनेशनल स्कूलमा अध्ययन गर्ने होम तथा छात्रबृत्ति कार्यक्रम लगायत सबै विद्यार्थीहरुले कक्षा ७ देखि ९ सम्म अध्ययन गर्दा तालिम कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुन्छन् । यसका अलावा प्रवेशिका परीक्षा दिएपछि जुनियर कम्प्युटर हार्डवयर टेक्निसियन तह १, तालिम सञ्चालन गर्दै आएको छ । यस तालिम केन्द्र अन्र्तगत तीन जना कर्मचारीहरु (प्रबन्धक, सहायक प्रबन्धक र सहायक) तथा अन्य ८ जना प्रशिक्षकहरु रहेका छन् । केन्द्रको आफनै सुबिधा सम्पन्न दुई वटा र एउटा कृषि सामग्री राख्ने भवन रहेको छ । केन्द्रले यस बर्षको २०७४ सालको पहिलो प्याकेजको तालिम सम्पन्न गरिसकेको छ ।
आगामी वर्षको कार्य योजनाः
- प्रत्येक तालिमको गुणस्तरमा ध्यान दिई उत्पादित वस्तुहरुको बजार प्रर्वधन गर्दै बिक्री बढाउने ।
- तालिमको सन्चालन विधि लाई समय सापेक्ष रुपमा परिमार्जन गर्दै लैजाने र तालिममा प्रयोग हुने मेशिन तथा औजारहरुको समयमै नियमित मर्मत सम्भार गरी तालिमका लागि तयार गरी राख्ने ।
