Introduction
Shangri-la Orphanage Home (SOH) is a national-level Non-Governmental Organization established in the year 2058 B.S. (1998). It has been operating with financial and technical support from Govinda Association (GA), Germany.
The organization was founded with the primary objective of providing shelter to orphaned and needy children and contributing to their overall development. It initially began by renting a small house at Tilganga, Kathmandu where it accommodated five orphaned and needy children. Over the time it expanded its operations, relocating from Bagdol, Lalitpur to Godavari-10, Neupanegaun, Lalitpur, in own building, from where various projects are being implemented.
The organization runs child-focused projects such as an orphanage home, scholarship project, vocational training center and youth reintegration project. The main objective of this organization is to provide support to orphaned, needy and vulnerable children for their holistic development.
Mission
The primary mission of Shangri-La Orphanage Home (SOH) is to improve the living standards of orphaned and needy children by providing formal education, vocational training, healthcare, and child-centered initiatives.

To build a nurturing society where every child regardless of background, caste, creed & religion or circumstance grows up in a safe, loving and empowering environment. We envision a Nepal where no child is left without care, education or opportunity and where each one can realize their full potential as confident, responsible and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
Goal
The goal of Shangri-La Orphanage Home (SOH) aims to provide a safe, nurturing home and holistic development opportunities for Orphan and needy children in Nepal, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and life skills to become self-reliant, empowered individuals.

Objectives
The Shangrila Orphanage Home ensure to build secured lives and provide Free education, Shelter, Food, Clothes, Health & Psychological support to very poor children of marginalized community. To provide life skills and vocational trainings to make people self reliant. Integrate social classes to confirm equality among all living in the same society.
Target Group
- Children without Parents or single Parent.
- Children with disable parents with low financial backgrounds.
- Children from Marginalized and Deprived family.
